We have a young and multidisciplinary team with national and international experience in several areas of Veterinary Medicine. Animals are our passion and we know that they are yours as well, so we treat them as if they were ours. So that communication is never a problem we speak Portuguese, English, Spanish and French.
Dr. Ruth Vieira
Diretora Clinica
Integrated Master's degree in Veterinary Medicine from the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine - ULHT in Lisbon in 2018. Experience in hospital and clinical settings. Volunteering in the “Donkey Sanctuary” project by the Autonomous University of Mexico. Particular interest in ultrasound and surgery. Attended an intensive course in abdominal ultrasound by Improve International.
Now clinical director and managing partner of Clínica Veterinária do Parchal.
In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her family, which includes her 4 dogs, Dusty, Lana, Spike and Taco and her cat Varjak.”
Dr. Valentín Sánchez
Veterinarian
Degree in Veterinary Medicine from the CEU San Pablo University in Valencia (Spain) in 2009. Hospital experience in surgery in several veterinary hospitals in countries such as Portugal, Germany, Spain, Angola and Mozambique. Participation in a cooperation project in Africa and solidarity award in 2011.
Particular interest and experience in soft tissue surgery and orthopedics, an area that has been developed through courses, postgraduate courses and congresses.
When he is not operating, he likes to play sports.
Dr. Gonçalo Acto
Veterinarian
Integrated Master's Degree in Veterinary Medicine from the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine - ULHT in Lisbon in 2016. Experience in hospital and clinic environments.
Particular interest in soft tissue surgery, internal medicine and exotics. He took an Abdominal Ultrasound course at Improve International.
In his free time, he likes to go for walks, be with friends and dedicate himself to his jungle indoors.
Joana Jacob Pina
Veterinary Assistant
Professional experience working with horses and internship in small animal clinics.
She took the veterinary assistant course and is a volunteer in animal protection associations.
She has worked with Clínica Veterinária do Parchal since it opened its doors in 2018.
In her free time likes to ride her motorcycle and spend time with her cats.
Marisa Silva
Groomer
Graduated in veterinary assistant and groomer by Empower and Centro de Formação Talento, respectively since 2017.
She has an Epagneul Breton named Lucky and a Shar-pei named Dori.
In her free time, she likes to go for walks and spend time with her family.
